Buy / Sell / Rent in Ang Mo Kio

Whether or not you're looking to buy, sell or rent a property, you should always do your research to make sure you factor in all considerations. Ideally, you might even want to consider engaging a realtor who can help you reduce the mistakes many people make during such transactions. Some of these mistakes can cost you up to tens of thousands of dollars...or even jeopardise your deal.

Here are some other considerations to take note of:

What is my budget?

How much are you looking to get for your house? How much can you reasonably afford?

If you're buying a property, remember to take into account any renovation or HDB upgrading costs that might add more figures to your budget.

Location? Transport?

Location should always the top priority when it comes to your home. If you're building a family, consider nearby amenities or support for the young kids or your elderly parents.

If you have a car, remember to factor in fuel prices, parking fees and traffic jams for travelling. Otherwise, always look at what public transport serves that area. Is it only buses or trains too? How far is it from the nearest station?

Ang Mo Kio continues to be a household favourite because of this reason - it is easily connected by public transport, has high rental demand, great food, and tons of schools / hospitals / parks / hawker centres within the estate.

What is the size and layout?

It goes without speaking that the size of your home and layout should be factored into your decision. Is it big enough for your needs? How many bedrooms does it have, or is the space too cramped?

What are the schools / hospitals / parks nearby?

The local amenities are important especially if you want to minimise travelling time all over the country. If you want to cook at home, look at whether there is a wet market or grocery shop nearby?

FOOD!

Which Singaporean doesn't love their food? Especially our delicious local hawker fare.

Look out for the hawker centres, food courts and cafes within your neighbourhood. Shout out if you're a fellow foodie!
